Many unsightly skin lesions can be removed safely, effectively, and painlessly in our offices.
We have several treatment techniques available to us.
One is cryotherapy in which the lesion is painlessly sprayed to freeze the tissue. The lesion will slough off in a week or ten days.
Sometimes, it is best to cut the lesion off. We will numb the area completely, cleanse it carefully, and then remove the tissue.
While insurance regards this as aesthetic medicine and won't pay for it, we can make this treatment cost-effective.
While everyone has a few facial acne lesions, generally associated with puberty, when these persist into adulthood, there may be some other issue to be identified and treated.
Moles are noncancerous growths that are easily and painlessly removed with cryotherapy or electrosurgery.
Unless a wound of some sort, abnormal skin growth on the hand, such as seen here, is the result of a virus that is easily spread by skin-to-skin contact - such as shaking someone's hand. Not so much with a fist bump.
This is a "common" wart, and is easily treated.
Frequent handwashing is encouraged.
It is especially important for lesions or sores on the bottom of the feet to be assessed professionally. A medical history and physical examination will allow for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Sores on the bottom of the feet, such as the one in this image, result from a plantar wart which can be quickly and painlessly removed. Others lesions may be the result of stepping on something sharp with a resulting infection. Still other times, a sore on the foot may indicate Type 2 Diabetes and delayed wound healing. The treatment here will likely include strategies to control or even cure the diabetes.
These lesions are far more common than most people like to admit. There is no need to put up with them any longer.
We will do an examination and determine if treatment more than lesion removal is needed.
